Road Transport Expo 2024

Road Transport Expo 2024 was a huge success, and the team at Dawsongroup truck and trailer had the opportunity to display an impressive collection of our fleet at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. It was a fantastic three days of meeting and greeting customers, manufacturers, and suppliers from across the industry. It was great to talk to lots of visitors and make new connections.

The showstopper, our gold-wrapped Volvo FM Globetrotter 4×2 EV Tractor Unit and Lawrence David Urban Box Trailer, hot off the production line and liveried in our celebratory 1974 theme, pulled in a crowd. The team also showed off our 7.2t Refrigerated Rigid with direct drive, which continued the fiftieth anniversary theme.

Additionally, on the stand was The Willen Ice Cream Company, with Richard Gordon serving homemade artisan ice cream, offering a choice of chocolate, cherry vanilla, mint choc chip, vanilla, coconut and lemongrass ice cream or passionfruit sorbet. This went down a treat, especially with the glorious sunshine on days two and three!

The ice cream was a great talking point, and we also took donations for our chosen charity, Willen Hospice. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and supported this amazing local charity.
