A New Way to Work Events

The Tempstore 26 set up ready to provide chilled solutions for the British Summertime Festival eventsDawsongroup tcs’ Temp°store 26 has once again come into its own at the British Summer Time Festival events in Hyde Park.

One of the big events of the year, this festival brought together huge headliners like Stevie Nicks, Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams, and Shania Twain, pulling in more than half a million people across its eight-day programme. The scale of this event, more than double the numbers at Glastonbury, required significant organisation and the event coordinators turned to Dawsongroup tcs for a temperature control solution to keep their beer cool. Our solution offered access to more than 624m2 of storage space, installed and ready for chilled storage in just six days.

Reliability and Flexibility

The Tempstore keeping refreshments cool throughout the event.

The festival hosted a range of themed bars, selling a variety of refreshments ranging from ales to cocktails. With an average of 60,000 visitors per day, these bars required immediate, reliable access to their refreshment storage to limit wait times and ensure that drinks were served at the right temperature. To ensure the smoothness of their operation, the festival organisers turned to our team to hire the award-winning Temp°store.

The inflatable Temp°store is designed with reliability in mind and manufactured by our in-house team at Dawsongroup tectoniks. The revolutionary, instant, inflatable structure can be ready to refrigerate beverages in less than 90 minutes and can hold a consistent temperature anywhere between +18°C and -18°C. With twenty-four Temp°store 26s powered by thirty fridges, the British Summer Time Festival could store more than 320,000 pints at any given time.

Its stable refrigeration is reinforced by its premium quality insulating materials that cannot be easily damaged, ensuring that products are secure throughout the event. This innovative material is what keeps the cold in, making it an ideal location to store alcohol, soft drinks, and perishable food items.

An environmentally friendly solutionLeaving Nothing Behind

The British Summer Time Festival is held every year at Hyde Park, one of the Royal Parks, which requires organisers to meet their Environmental Management Requirements. This minimises the impact on the environment of the parks, ensuring the park flora, fauna, and park fabric are protected, including the ground and the trees. Traditional refrigeration solutions cause unavoidable damage to the ground and the surrounding environment.

The Temp°store offers an alternative that embodies the idea of leaving nothing behind. Able to fold up into a small trailer, the Temp°store has minimal impact on public land. The entire structure is inflated on the trackway, avoiding the need for any ground-penetrating stabilisers. Its simple installation process, state-of-the-art ground protection and non-slip flooring ensure that Hyde Park is not impacted by its low temperatures.

Safeguarding People

Unlike traditional cold storage solutions, the Temp°store sits at ground level, removing the need for a loading dock and minimising the risk of slips and trips during operation. Events are a busy time and fast, step-free access to refreshments is vital. Additionally, it is wide enough for a forklift to be safely operating inside.

Looking to Refresh Your Events?

The adaptability of the Temp°store makes it the ideal partner for every event. Able to hold a consistent temperature down to -18°C, it is the ideal location to store frozen products and host ice bars or other similar events. The Temp°store is also available as a large event structure that can hold an ambient temperature, ideal for hosting festivals, corporate events, and festivals. Additionally, the Temp°store can be combined with hybrid generators and solar pods from Dawsongroup energy solutions to minimise the cost associated with cold and frozen storage.

Our flexible contract hire enables customers to hire inflatable cold storage for as long as necessary. Without the burden of ownership, you will be able to return the modules to us when you no longer need them.
