Dawsongroup Supports The Big Give Christmas Challenge

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is an annual match funding campaign which raises millions of pounds for good causes, and Dawsongroup is proud to be taking part in support of Street League.

We first started supporting Street League’s Sheffield location when we launched Dawsongroup Open Hands in January 2020. Open Hands, our CSR programme, is our opportunity to help those in need through fundraising, donations and giving. This is our first time supporting Street League in The Big Give and their first time participating in it.

Street League is a youth unemployment organisation that aims to empower young people to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to move into work or further education. Their mission has never been more important, with youth unemployment rates rising as a direct result of job losses and a significant decrease in education time as a result of the pandemic.

As a proud corporate partner of Street League, Dawsongroup is providing match-funding to their Big Give Christmas Challenge 2021. This means that for every £10 raised by Street League during the challenge, £20 goes towards their mission of ending youth unemployment in the UK and empowering young people to gain the skills and qualifications necessary for a brighter future.

Street League needs to raise £2000 to unlock their match-funding as part of the challenge. Join us in supporting Street League in their Big Give Christmas Challenge to help more young people across the UK to move into work or further education and end youth unemployment.

Where your money goes:

£5 covers the daily travel cost for a young person to attend the Street League academy programme and learn the skills they need to become independent and move into work or further education.

£10 can ensure a young person sets the right first impression with a pair of smart shoes for a job interview.

£25 can give a young person confidence with a fresh suit or dress for an interview.

£30 can get a person Street League ready with a wellness pack containing all the essentials for success.

“We are thrilled to be supporting Street League in The Big Give campaign,” said Freya Dawson, Head of CSR for Dawsongroup plc. “It really is a fantastic way for charities to raise some serious funds as every penny donated is doubled. I think it’s great to see this level of support being given to charities like Street League, especially as we’ve had the privilege of witnessing first-hand how these funds make a difference to young people’s lives.”

The Big Give Christmas Challenge begins at 12pm on 30th November and runs until 12pm on 7th December. Every donation you make during this time can be doubled. One donation, twice the impact.

If you would like to join us in supporting Street League, please visit The Big Give website to make a donation.
