David and his team have an excellent relationship with their customers. As most people working at New Spitalfields Market start work late at night and finish around 9am or 10am, it can be difficult to provide a rapid response. However, David came up with a solution that works for everyone. He set up a WhatsApp group where customers can report necessary repairs at any time; they then leave the truck at the workshop and David has the details of what needs to be done when he arrives at 8am. He can then ensure the truck is fixed, ready for its next shift that evening.

“As often as possible,” David said, “we try to fix things the same day they’re brought in, so they are ready for our customers to use that evening. This keeps their business running smoothly and prevents any downtime.”
